 Founder
abc Academy was founded by Wendy Arnold List, a mum and entrepreneur who built abc to have the perfect place to send her children. Wendy earned her B.Sc., Master of Social Work and MBA. She worked for many years with children and families as a Social Worker at the Children's Aid Society of Toronto, Sick Kids Hospital, and in private practice family counselling. Wendy worked at a digital marketing firm for a few years until she had her first daughter - who led her to start abc. Wendy works on the administrative side at abc. You'll see her around wearing both her "work hat" and her "mum hat" as she now has a second daughter, and both girls attend and love it at abc.
Management
As abc has grown, so has the team of professionals who run it. abc’s Directors are a group of highly experienced child care professionals who were excellent in the classroom and are now excellent in the office. They run a tight ship so that clients’ expectations (the children and parents alike) are not only met, but exceeded.Teachers
We have a terrific group here. abc’s teachers are chosen for their energy, teaching abilities, warmth, creativity, and dedication to providing children with the best start to school and beyond. All of our classroom teachers are fully accredited Early Childhood Educators or Early Childhood Assistants and are certified in First Aid, CPR and have passed police criminal reference checks.  Students
We accept student placements from ECE programs to help foster learning across the broader daycare community. We also have a great group of high school, university and ECE students who work as supply staff within abc, some of whom are available to parents for emergency private home daycare if their child is ill and cannot come to abc.
